Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2024 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2024. Throughout the coming weeks, be on the lookout for our MD Public School Top 10, as well as a slew of additional preseason coverage.    

#16 North East Indians   

North East has been a perennial powerhouse across the UCBAC over the past few years, and we don't see much changing in 2024. Led by a strong senior class with the likes of Luke Keefer (Maryland), Ethan Flaugher (Mount St. Mary's) and Ryan James, look for the Indians to be strong contenders to get out of the loaded 2A East Region I.

Firepower on both sides of the ball has always been the forefront for the Indians over the years and we see some of the same this spring holding true. If Keefer, Flaugher and James can be consistent throughout the season, as well as some underclassmen playing key roles on both sides of the ball, North East should be in contention for a deep run in 2024.
