Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2024 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2024. Throughout the coming weeks, be on the lookout for our MD Public School Top 10, as well as a slew of additional preseason coverage.    

#17 Arundel Wildcats   

The Wildcats enter 2024 with some holes to fill on both sides of the ball, as Antorius Cofield, Gary Gubbings, Nelson Grajales, Caden Houck and Chris Ricks have all garduated and were key pieces to the program in 2023. Fast forward to this spring and Arundel looks to fill those voids with a deep and highly talented pitching rotation.

Three top arms in Nicholas Dolbin, Dominic Erculiani and Thamon McGriff headline a rotation that has every aspiration of being reliable and highly successful this spring. The offense has lost some pieces, however look for breakout seasons from Erculiani, Dominic Wilder, Rowland Thursby and Oliver Christian-Santana and some younger underclassmen to have bigger roles throughout the lineup. 

If Arundel is to find consistent success this spring, the three-headed monster in Dolbin, Erculiani and McGriff will have to be dominant on the bump throughout the season. If the bats can score some runs on a consistent basis, this Wildcats team should be a ton of fun to watch this spring.
