Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2024 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2024. Throughout the coming weeks, be on the lookout for our MD Public School Top 10, as well as a slew of additional preseason coverage.    

# 20 Glenelg Gladiators   

Coming off an impressive 19-3-1 record a year ago, coach Steve Tiffany and the Gladiators enter the 2024 spring looking for continued success and an even deeper run this season. Glenelg has some holes to fill, as the departures of key pieces in Landon Castor, Alfonse Dello Russo, Nicholas Duvall, Jackson Kelley, Ben Pearcy and DJ Stolba are all gone to graduation. Coach Tiffany always has his guys ready to compete, and a year that looks for more production from some of the talented underclassmen makes for 2024 to be an interesting one to watch.

Junior Nick Bilotto and senior Zachary Lafountain are back and will be a strong one-two punch on the bump, as we see some younger players adding depth on the back end. Look for breakout years from seniors Nick Emig and Logan Pusheck, with depth provided by junior Dane Stamper and an intriguing freshman in Blake Bourne. 

If coach Tiffany and the Gladiators can get strong production from some fairly inexperienced players this year, and the two-headed monster in Bilotto and Lafountain can pitch to their expectations, we look for continued success from Glenelg in 2024.
