Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2024 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2024. Throughout the coming weeks, be on the lookout for our MD Public School Top 10, as well as a slew of additional preseason coverage.    

#6 Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons 

The Barons enter 2024 with a loaded roster on both sides of the ball and look to take that next step this spring. Returning a plethora of players from last year's squad should bode well, as we see this pitching staff possessing a ton of experienced leaders. 

On the bump, look for senior Bobby Burk to lead the staff, along with a slew of depth provided by seniors Adam Niman and Pierce Tewksbury and juniors William Adkinson and Henry Eichner. 

Offensively, look for a breakout year from junior Trent Lopez, along with Jackson Clemens, Niman, and Tewksbury. This offense is loaded with top-end, experienced talent with players on the cusp of breakout years. If the bats play consistently, the Barons are in great shape to make a deep run. 

Key Players to Watch
