With 2023 now in the past, PBR Michigan is eagerly anticipating bringing the state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. 2024 Spring Team Preview: Schoolcraft Eagles

Team Name: Schoolcraft Eagles
Head Coach: Scott Muffley
Division: 3
2023 Record: 20-13
2023 Tourney Finish: District Finals loss to Centreville
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 9/7

Coach Outlook: "We only lost 2 seniors last year with a team that should have been in contention last year. This year we have some strong arms back, with experience at the plate. We also have a lot of speed on the basis to take advantage of any errors on the opponenets part. We are really looking forward to see what these guys can accomplish. We also have a strong incoming 9th grade class to build for the future as well."

  • Hayden Demaso - P/OF - 2025 - 6'2 - 195 - Hit .289 - Dislocated his shoulder at the end of the season - Will be a big threat at plate Fischer Holmes - P/1st - 6'1 - 175 - 2024 - 4-0 - 1.89 era - Lefty - Phenomenal control with off speed - 3 year starter - Will be at the top again
  • Jayden VanderWeire - OF - 2024 - .342 - 2 year starter - Competitor/Team Leader - Works hard
  • Gavin Hart - C - 2025 - 5'10 - 180 - .291 - Phenomenal leader defensively - One of the hardest workers we have
  • Carsten Svoboda - Inf. - 5'11 - 170 - 2024 - 3 year starter - .267 - Worked hard in the off season to get stronger - Should have a great year at the plate
  • Ethan Goodard - Inf. - 6'1 - 200 - 2025 - 2 year starter - .397 - Led the team in hitting - Phenomenal worker - Vewry strong on both sides offensively and defensively
  • Easton Poulsen - 5'10 - 165 - P/OF - 2025 - 2 year starter - Throws hard off the mound, has the ability to be one of the best - Speed in the outfield and on the base path
  • Bennett Ellison - 5'10 - 165 - 2024 - Inf./Of. - 3 year varsity player - Injuries last year shortened his season - Has started this year off strong in doors - Look for great things from Bennett
  • Jacob Taylor - 5'10 - 160 - 2026 - P/OF - Great young player - Continues to develop every day both on the mound and at the plate - Nice to have a lefty coming off the mound - Look for Jacob to play a great role this year.
  • Cody Preiest - 5'9 - 155 - 2026 - P/Inf. - Another great young player - Hard working team player - Continues to develop and get better every day
  • Ryan Ling - 6'0 - 180 - 2024 - Of. - Has a ton of speed and carries a compteitive attitude - We love having his competitive mondset on this team - Look for great things in the field and on the bases from Ryan
  • Ryley Bruner - P - 6'3 - 200 - 2025 - 2 year player - Looking for Ryley to have a great season on the mound for us this year - Should battle for the number 2 spot - Great potential
  • Thomas Rutkoski - p/Inf. - 6'3 - 195 - 2024 - 2 year player - Thomas will have to play a big role for us this year off the mound, in the field, and at the plate. Has plenty of power.
