Dylan Stanton SS / 2B / Gull Lake, MI / 2020
The fifth-ranked player in the state’s 2020 class has committed to Michigan after weighing offers from a large list of impressive schools. “The turning point was when they saw me perform the first game of summer,” explained Stanton, who a year prior was seen by Michigan in a tournament in Georgia which was followed up by a UM baseball camp. “(Michigan assistant coach) Chris Fetter said they were really interested in me.” The offer came after the Future Games in August. “I want to say thank you to PBR and Aaron Wilson, the Future Games was quite an event,” Stanton reflected. “It was extraordinary seeing all the great athletes there. When I left I wanted to be the best I could be.” And Michigan was ready for the best of Stanton. “They sent a text to my summer coach and said they were ready to offer,” Stanton explained. “I was ready to hear their offer.” |
