Missouri 2022 Rankings Story

Kevin Moulder
Missouri Scouting Director

A look at our 2022 class rankings as they begin their senior season this spring. Over 25 new players entered the 300 player ranking, while also seeing a number of players shoot up the rankings including a new player moving into the top 10. In all the class currently has 180+ committed players a number that will continue to grow as we get into the spring season.  Below, we highlighted some of our top risers, uncommitted players and the states top ranked player along with a complete list of the 2022 Missouri rankings.

The #1

Reese Robinett 3B / Kennett , MO / 2022

Had a strong showing at the prestigious Super 60 this winter.  Returns for an encore his SR season after leading his team to a 4A state championship last spring. During the state tournament he was at his best with many key hits but non bigger than his late game heroics in the semi finals when he hit a no doubt HR to deep RF to give his team the lead.

College: Arkansas

Top Uncommitted

Connor Earleywine 2B / CF / Jefferson City, MO / 2022

Helped to led Jeff City to a 6a final 4 appearance last spring. Earleywine is one of the fastest players in the state and is a classic hard nosed, leadoff hitter type. A plus runner with a knack for getting on base and cause trouble for opponents once he is on base. Defensively shows the ability to play the infield and also covers good ground in centerfield.

Jacob Brown RHP / Westminster, MO / 2022

A right hander with a swing and miss slider that has sharp tight break and has show the ability to spin it at 2500 rpm. His fastball velocity sits in the upper 80's and has the ability to touch 90 mph. Brown is currently recovering from injury and is scheduled to return later in the spring season. A fully recovery is expected.

Nicolas Neal OF / LHP / Pattonville , MO / 2022

A two-way talent with a long athletic frame. On the mound Neal is an upside arm that has a fastball that sits in the mid-upper 80's from the left side. At the plate he has natural leverage in his swing and produces low-mid 90's exit velocity.

Garrison Scott OF / East Prairie , MO / 2022

A 6 foot 2 athletic outfielder and a burner with a laser timed 6.52 60. Scott has a level swing with a middle of the field approach and has been 90 mph exit velocity during BP.

Risers

Toby Scheidt SS / Rock Bridge, MO / 2022

An athletic middle of the field defender with good range and a strong throwing arm (91 mph from SS). Offensively shows the ability to consistently drive the ball with strength in his swing (91 exit vlo). 6.93 60. Also, showed a live arm on the mound with a fastball up to 88 mph to go with a 1/7 shaped curveball.

Braden Tice OF / Kennett, MO / 2022

A L/L leadoff hitting OF for the defending Missouri 4a state champion Kennett High School team Tice was ignitor for the team offense. A prototypical leadoff type as a plus runner and quick out of the box. Tice's swing matches his skill set with a Blast Motion on-plane efficiency average at an elite 86.8 and above average hand speed at 24.3, during BP he used mostly a gap to gap line drive approach.
