Karr Leads North Lincoln to Round 1 Win

PBR of North Carolina was at Hickory High on Tuesday night May 9th for a 1st round 3A playoff game as the North Lincoln Knights visited the Hickory Red Tornadoes. Both teams are in the Western Foothills 3A Conference and split their regular season 2-game series. Both teams got strong pitching performances, Dean Hall for Hickory and Kellen Karr for North Lincoln. Hickory also got some outstanding defense with Ellis Chappell and Isaiah McDowell making diving catches in the outfield. The game's lone run was scored in the top of the 4th, Maddux Walker who led off the inning with a single score on a 2-out single from Kellen Karr. Hickory had a baserunner in the 7th but Ty Goodson was able to get to fly balls to end the game. The Knights travel to West Henderson for round 2.
