Quick Hitters: USA Prime Scout Day - Hitters

PBR was in High Point, NC on Monday July 3, 2023, at High Point Christian Academy’s home field to see the PBR Scout Day with USA Prime. Over 50 players from the 2024 - 2027 classes were on hand for the workout day.
The PBR Scout Day began with bullpens. Pitchers threw in a controlled environment while TrackMan was able to process analytics on each pitch thrown. The afternoon saw the position player workout. The day began with a 60 yard dash, including 10yd and 30 yd splits, followed by an offensive and defensive workout with evaluations.

Quick Hitters - Position Players
6-foot-4, 180-pound frame. Left hand hitter. Worked through the middle of the field during BP. Top exit velocity at 95.3 mph, average EV at 78.1 mph. Barrel works down through the ball, gets to a high 2-hand finish. Arm reached 89 mph from the outfield.
5-foot-10, 155-pound frame. Balanced setup, hits with a sturdy base, short compact swing. Top exit velocity at 88.6 mph, average EV at 81.9 mph. Hit several balls off the barrel to the big part of the field.
6-foot, 185-pound build. Hit several balls off the barrel during his BP rounds. Short path with his barrel staying through the zone, showed ability to use the whole field. Top exit velocity at 91.3 mph, average EV at 82.3 mph. Arm reached 68 mph from behind the plate.
5-foot-10, 170-pound build. Stayed through the middle of the field during BP. Peak exit velocity at 92.8 mph, average EV at 85.9 mph. Hands are relaxed with a flat swing path. Arm topped at 84 mph from the outfield.
5-foot-10, 195-pound frame. Made hard contact working gap to gap in BP. Peak exit velocity at 95.8 mph, average EV at 86.9 mph. Big load with a leg kick, strong hand, barrel is mostly flat through the zone. Arm topped at 76 mph across the diamond.
5-foot-4, 122-pound frame. Line drive approach working through the middle and to the opposite field. Barrel works inside the ball and flat through the zone. Top exit velocity at 79.5 mph, average EV at 70.4 mph.
Strong and athletic at 5-foot-11, 190-pounds. Posted the top exit velocity on the day at 100.9 mph, average EV at 92.7 mph. Hit several balls off the barrel working through the middle of the field. Loose, fast hands with his barrel staying through the zone. Arm reached 85 mph from the outfield. Ran a 7.13 laser timed 60.
6-foot, 195-pound frame. Hands have strength and quickness. Short to the ball with his barrel working mostly level through the zone. Peak exit velocity at 92.1 mph, average EV at 84.4 mph. Arm up to 73 mph from behind the plate.
5-foot-10, 165-pound frame. Lined balls through the middle of the field during his BP rounds. Peak exit velocity at 89.8 mph, average EV at 75.8 mph. Quick hands with a short path to the ball, barrel stays through the zone. Arm up to 80 mph across the diamond. Ran a 7.25 laser timed 60.
5-foot-11, 160-pound build. Balanced swing with his barrel working level through the zone, hands have quickness. Worked mostly through the middle and to the opposite field. Peak exit velocity at 87.2 mph, average EV at 73 mph. Arm topped at 74 mph from the outfield.
5-foot-10, 180-pound build. Worked through the middle and to the right center gap during BP. Peak exit velocity at 92.6 mph, average EV at 84.2 mph. Hands are strong with quickness, uphill swing path.
5-foot-10, 160-pound frame with room to add strength. Left hand hitter with a fluid swing and feel for the barrel. Squared several balls up working to both gaps. Loose hands with quickness, barrel stays through the zone. Top exit velocity at 93.2 mph, average EV at 87.9 mph. Arm up to 89 mph from the outfield.
6-foot, 165-pound frame with room to fill out. Lined drive approach hitting several balls off the barrel through the middle and to the right center gap. Top exit velocity at 85.1 mph, average EV at 80.5 mph. Simple swing with hand quickness, barrel stays inside and through the ball.
Strength in a 6-foot-1, 210-pound frame. Left hand hitter. Hit several balls off the barrel working mostly to his pull side. Peak exit velocity at 97.7 mph, average EV at 83 mph. Simple, swing, short to the ball, flat swing path, hands have strength and quickness. Ran a 7.26 laser timed 60.
5-foot-10, 160-pound frame with room for maturation ahead. Fluid balanced swing with feel for the barrel. Hands are quick, keeps his barrel through the zone. Lined balls through the middle of the field. Top exit velocity at 79.5 mph, average EV at 72.2 mph. Accurate arm to second base with his best pop time at 1.97.
