High School: Calvary Day School
Summer/Fall Team: Carolina Rockies
Position: RHP/1B
Grad Year: 2017
PBR Events: Thomasville Prospect Open – Thomasville, NC – 08.16.16

Scouting Notes: Physical right hander with a thick lower half that worked from a high-3/4 slot with some effort in the arm swing while trying to stay tall.  The shoulders worked slightly uphill, while on-line producing a fastball that touched 83 and sat 79-81 with slight run, and in the zone.  The breaking ball had early 10/4 action, while the change flashed as a qualilty pitch, producing arm side run, from a near look-alike arm speed, registering a tick hard at 76-77

Interview with PBR:

PBR: What factors lead to your commitment to Patrick Henry CC?

PD:  Having the opportunity to play as a freshman was a huge factor. Knowing if I went to a 4 year school I was probably going to have to sit for a while, making the decision to come to PHCC was easy.

PBR:  Academically, is there a particular interest or desired major, at this time?

PD:  Criminal Justice

PBR:  Where did the coaches at PHCC see you?

PD:  At a High Toms camp in Thomasville NC

PBR:  When did the recruiting process begin to heat up for you -- was there a particular event or game?

PD:  I would say after the high toms camp the process starting getting more serious

PBR:  What are your goals for this upcoming fall and spring?

PD:  My goals are to finish the fall healthy and strong, and carry that over to spring and hopefully have another successful season, and make all conference again and hopefully all state

PBR:  Who are some of the coaches, or people, that have helped develop you on the baseball field?

PD:  Chris Vogler my former High School Coach, Jeff Greene my pitching coach and my mom

PBR:  You attended a PBR event this past summer... What are your thoughts on PBR NC, the event, and the coverage of HS baseball in NC?

PD:  I thought it was a great opportunity to help get my name out there and showcase my abilities on the field.

PBR:  Any advice for the players in the 2018 & 2019 classes that are beginning their process?

PD:  KEEP GRIDING it will come
