Prep Baseball Report

NC Pitcher of the Week: March 11 - 16, 2024

Brandon Hall
NC / Mid-Atlantic Scouting Director

Throughout the 2024 season Prep Baseball Scouts will be working to track and see as many games and players as possible. Each week the scouting staff will post game coverage, scout blog, player video and more.  This will be done in conjunction with Inside the Box, a daily scoreboard with select game and player highlights.

Through all the work to cover high school baseball in North Carolina, our scouting staff will be naming a player and pitcher of the week, each week of the high school regular season. Along with all the games Prep Baseball Scouts will see, cover, and examine, high school coaches will also be able to pass along information on how their players performed.  On Friday of each week, THIS FORM, will be sent to the high school coaches in North Carolina.  All players that are submitted will be considered for Player and Pitcher of the Week.

Coaches can also email Brandon Hall at [email protected] to submit player nominations.

March 11 - 16, 2024 Pitcher of the Week

Sean Jenkins has quickly become one of the most talked about arms in North Carolina.  Even with a loaded 2025 class, Jenkins is making a case to be the top pitcher in the class.  This past week, he and his Foard Tigers opened up conference play at Hickory.  Jenkins fired a complete game shutout, striking out 17.  Jenkins only allowed 2 hits and 1 walk, firing 69 strikes in his 96 pitch effort (72% strikes).

An ECU commit, Jenkins runs his overall record on the year to 3-0 in the win.  He has yet to allow an earned run in 2024.

Congrats Sean Jenkins!
