Prep Baseball Report

NC Pitcher of the Week: Week of MAR 4 - 9, 2024

Brandon Hall
NC / Mid-ATL Director of Scouting

Throughout the 2024 season Prep Baseball Scouts will be working to track and see as many games and players as possible. Each week the scouting staff will post game coverage, scout blog, player video and more.  This will be done in conjunction with Inside the Box, a daily scoreboard with select game and player highlights.

Through all the work to cover high school baseball in North Carolina, our scouting staff will be naming a player and pitcher of the week, each week of the high school regular season. Along with all the games Prep Baseball Scouts will see, cover, and examine, high school coaches will also be able to pass along information on how their players performed.  On Friday of each week, THIS FORM, will be sent to the high school coaches in North Carolina.  All players that are submitted will be considered for Player and Pitcher of the Week.

Coaches can also email Brandon Hall at [email protected] to submit player nominations.

March 4 - 9, 2024 Pitcher of the Week

Week in and week out pitchers in the state are doing big things and turning in big numbers.  One way a pitcher can separate themselves from the pack, is who they throw some of their big numbers against.  This week's pitcher of the week turned in the performance of the week vs. No. 16 Fred T Foard HS.

King Mountain's Brayden Patrick (RHP, 2024, Presbyterian commit) worked a complete game, 1 hit shutout vs. Foard.  Patrick not only silenced a lineup that had been very loud, he did it with 20 strikesouts in the 108 pitch performance.  For his efforts, Patrick is the North Carolina Prep Baseball Pitcher of the Week for March 4 - 9, 2024.

Brayden Patrick, RHP, Kings Mountain HS, 2024
+ Presbyterian commit
+ Win, 7IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 20K
+ 108 pitches, 69 for strikes | 64% strikes in the outing
+ Also went 4-5 with 4 doubles on the week.
