Willow Springs Takes 8 Inning Affair on the Road

It took Willow Springs 9 innings to beat Cardinal Gibbons on a cold damp night in Raleigh, NC. Willow Springs was leading 4-2 in the bottom of the seventh, but Cardinal Gibbons tied the game on an infield error and four consecutive walks. Willow Springs sent nine batters to the plate in the ninth inning and scored 4 runs on key hits from Ryan Hartley, Jake Pereira, and Triston Gardner. Mason Kochies pitched a scoreless 8th and 9th for the win.
