Commitment corner q & A

PBR:  Tell us about your commitment; Where you have pledged and why did you choose that institution?

EVANS: I have verbally committed to Elon University in North Carolina. I decided on this university because of how great the coaches are, the beautiful campus and the winning attitude of the program.  They all have a great outlook on the game of baseball and education is a big part of it.

PBR:  It's already fall and winter is coming up next; Tell us what your plans are in terms of training, practice, or anything specific to your development as a player?

EVANS: In the off season I plan to continue my weight lifting/nutrition  program to help me gain strength and velocity along with fine tuning my mechanics.

PBR:  Baseball is a game built on adversity, on failure; What are some techniques you have used over your young career that have helped you handle with those adversities?

EVANS: Whenever I have faced adversity in my young career, I always step off the mound, take my hat off, close my eyes and take a deep cleansing breath, then I know I am ready to start attacking the batter again. I also  face adversity off the field by dealing directly with any issues, get a game plan together and face the issue head on.

PBR: What is your favorite memory from this past summer playing baseball?

EVANS: My favorite memory from this past summer was watching the rest of our pitching staff on my team succeed in big moments. Its fun to watch my teammates have great moments, its all about The Team.

PBR:  Who is your biggest influence in the game today?

EVANS: My biggest influence in the game today is Marcus Stroman. He brings a certain swag to the game that makes him exciting to watch and I can only hope to have people that excited when thy watch me pitch.

PBR:  How has your experience been with PBR NY? Would you recommend your teammates utilize our platform?

EVANS: I have had nothing but good experiences with PBR NY. Every event I have been to has been both exciting and competitive at the same time. I would highly recommend PBR NY to all upcoming players. Their events promote players all over social media, not to mention some events are well attended by college coaches and scouts. The Future Games in Indiana when I played for Team NY was one of my greatest memories. Walking in and seeing the top-notch facility and all the scouts was mind blowing. Whether I was attending an event or just needed advice making my final decision on a college, the PBR NY staff was there to listen and give advice. Their guidance helped me with my decision making along the way. So I thank PBR NY!
