Our annual Senior Day events took place this past Saturday and Sunday at NY-Penn League Stadiums in the Hudson Valley (Dutchess Stadium - Tampa Rays) and Central NY (Falcon Park - Washington Nationals).

Justin Cabrera 1B / C / Cardinal Hayes, NY / 2020Consistent with past events, his offensive abilities did not disappoint. Showed a steady line drive stroke. Was impressive around 1B when handling throws, picked all attempts cleanly.

Stephen Tejada RHP / 3B / HS for Construction, NY / 2020A nice day all around for the NYC resident. Handled the bat well with a simplistic, line drive stroke using wood. Showed enough left side arm but may project better at 2B at the next level. 80-82 on the mound with 12-6 action to his CB and downward fade to the CH.

Anthony Dolce C / 3B / North Salem , NY / 2020Athletic 5-foot-11 165 pound frame that will get stronger; swung the bat well with and elevated finsih. Line drive results. Behind the dish he showed an accurate arm with respectable pop times at 2.08-2.19.

Joseph DiMasse C / Proctor, NY / 2020Strong, compact frame at 5-foot-8 183 pounds. All measurables took a jump from his early August event. Showed some strength in the box with line drive results; quick exchange behind the dish with accuracy.

Christian Kondo SS / 2B / Saratoga Springs , NY / 2020One of the best all-around batting practices on the day; easy, repeatable efforts with results that found the gaps. Strong MIF candidate at the next level, may project better at 2B but can handle SS.

Michael Darrell RHP / OF / Middletown, NY / 2020Worked out as dual but his future baseball path may be on the mound. Worked 79-80 with FB command. Demonstrated feel for both a 12-6 CB with late action and a same plane change up. Slight build that can add some mass.

Jonathan Haines 1B / RHP / Arkport , NY / 2020Haines, like Cabrera from the downstate event, is an offensive threat in the box. Continued to show solid contact this past weekend. On the mound he was 80-81 with both a CB and late action SL that showed some serious teeth.

Ryan Peters RHP / OF / Watertown, NY / 2020Athletic North Country product worked 80-82 on the mound with a feel for secondary stuff. A low mileage arm and frame that will continue to hold additional velocity. Showed actions defensively that could slide him to a 3B roll at the next level; solid contact in BP with some pop to the pull side.
