Sean Harris, OF/LHP, Portville HS, NY (2016)
Harris stands 6-foot-1 165-pounds with a projectable frame. In the OF he fields the ball off his glove side, stands up before transfer, has a long arm action from a high ¾ slot at 75 mph arm strength. At the plate he hits from the right side, setup is wide and athletic, on the pitch he uses a back load and short stride for timing, his hands stay inside the ball and he has a pure, level, balanced swing with extension through contact and a high finish. Exit velocity was 84 off a tee.

From The Gridiron
Harris, a long and lean OF/LHP for Portville HS also acts as the schools starting Quarterback. Being a quarterback not only takes athletic ability and skill, but also involves being the a vocal leader, and a fast problem solver under center reading opposing defenses each snap. In just six games this season the talented 2016 graduate has throw for close to 400 yards on 40 attempts, 20 completions, 5 touchdowns through the air. On his feet the shifty dual threat QB has rushed for over 200 yards on 22 attempts scoring 3 rushing touchdowns in the process. He has a great pocket awareness, as soon as he feels pressure he scrambles for positive yards, He doesn't look to get sloppy with the ball, if his receivers are covered he has got the legs to burn opposing defenses. Only a junior, Harris already has the skills to hurt you with his arm or legs, really a fun kid to watch develop.

Analysis:

Harris is so projectable it's extremely hard to place a finger on just how good he may get. Arm strength will only improve as he psychically matures, same with the bat speed (already an impressive 84 mph), but his legs are his money makers. He shows a sub 7.0  60 time, great lateral movement, and instincts that play well in the outfield. As he grows and matures Harris will be a player from Portville, NY you will want to remember.
