Max Velocity Scout Day Stat Story

Prep Baseball Report Arkansas and Max Velocity teamed up for a scout day featuring 32 players from all across the state and from the 2023 class all the way to some interesting 2027's. The event took full advantage of technology along with going through traditional showcase metrics. We take a look at the top performers broken down by classes and full event stats and details can be found by clicking here.
There were three guys that posted sub 7 second 60's led by 2024 Ole Miss commit Slade Caldwell at a blazing 6.60. Trey Wren from Melbourne led the way for the 2023's at 6.89 and Parker King showed off some serious speed for the 2026 class at 6.73.
On the mound it was Tyler Hoskins from Valley View leading the way at the event 89.7 mph. Lawson Ward also showed some serious arm strength in the 2024 class at 89.3 mph and Eli Crecelius came in at 87.3 mph. Asa Myers from Wynne posted the top fastball velo in the 2026 class with an impressive 82.2 mph fastball with Owen Roach right behind him at 81.7 and Levi Martin coming in at 81.4.
Tyler Hoskins also posted the top exit velocity from the event at 97.4 mph with Slade Caldwell right behind him at 97.3 mph. Cash Gillis posted the best exit velo from the 2025 class at 90 mph. Parker King showed some serious hand strength at contact for the 2026 class at 91.6 mph and Owen Roach came in right behind him at 91.2 mph.
It was Hoskins again leading the charge for the infielders at 82 mph across the diamond. Madden Tatum led the way for the 2026's at 79 mph with Levi Martin right behind him at 77 mph. In the outfield it was Slade Caldwell with an event best 83 mph arm from the outfield. Parker King led the way for the 2026's at 81 mph with Owen Roach coming in at 80 mph. Lawson Ward showed some impressive arm strength from the crouch throwing it 79 mph on throws down to second base that also came with some very impressive pop times between 1.75-1.88. 2023 Cade Collins from Brookland also showed off some impressive pop times ranging from 1.93-2.04.
Slade Caldwell also showed well in both bat speed and hand speed metrics captured by Blast Motion at 75.6 mph and 23.9 mph. Hoskins also showed some impressive bat speed at 74.3 mph with Lawson Ward coming in at 73 mph. Maddox Wingo put out an impressive 80.4 mph bat speed from the 2024 class.
