Arkansas Scout Blog: Week 1 Games

By: PBR Arkansas Staff

The Arkansas Scouting Blog provides insider information and scouting notes from the PBR Staff during the season. This running blog will feature information on underclass prospects, unsigned seniors, draft prospects, and anything else that is notable. We will provide a wide range of information, including player evaluations, velocities, pop times, home to first times, and more.

Will Leslie, a recent East Arkansas Open ID participant, showed in-game feel with a secondary pitch. The projectable right-hander will continue to see his velocity climb as the weather warms up.

Zayvein Dyer had a big week at the Southwest classic with multiple barrels helping the Jacrabbits show they are one of the top teams in the state by knocking off the defending state champions in extra innings.

Lance Davis is one of the top HS right-handers, garnering a lot of MLB scout attention. Projectable frame with swing and miss stuff, Davis will be one to follow as the draft this summer looms near.

Kircher continues to impress with his physical frame and ability to pound the zone. A recent Super60 participant, Kircher showed why in his outing.

Power RHP Southerland has battled command previously but showed control throughout his outing. Ridge will be one of the strongholds in the rotation for the Bryant Hornets as the season takes shape.

Peyton Lee showed easy actions repeating his delivery throughout his outing. Consistent 3-pitch mix with feel for the zone as his outing progressed. A top arm in his class and will continue to add velocity throughout the spring.
