Baseball season is finally here. As of Friday, March 12th, the AIA high school baseball season is officially off and running. Throughout the spring, PBR will be posting Daily Roundup with some scores and select performances from past games.

Sunnyslope runs away early

Sunnyslope took it to No. 11 Shadow Ridge with their high powered offense right from the start on Wednesday night, scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the first inning, finishing with 12 totals runs in the big victory. There were three  multi-hit games in Sunnyslope's lineup with Gavin Acosta, Spencer Hochstein, & Christian Perez all with two hits a piece. Perez was on 4 times on the night with a single, double, two walks & 4 RBIs.  2021 2B Marshall Williams (Mesa recruit) & 1B Dylan Shillington both had big HR's in the game. The Vikings win by a final score of 12-3. 

Vista Grande take down No. 25 Sabino

After an early lead for Sabino, Vista Grande scored 3 runs in consecutive innings in the 3rd & 4th with the final score being 8-3. 2022 SS Emilio Barreras Rojo (Fullerton commit) has been a hit machine over the last couple years, snagging two hits & a walk in this one. He batted 3 runs in while score two of his own in the process. Senior, CF Erubial Ozuna also hit a double in the game, scoring two runs. Vista Grande used 3 pitchers in the win that combined for 3 runs.
