TEAM OUTLOOK

The Lions have some high hopes as they begin their 2024 season and they are off to a 7-1 record already this season. Arlington is led by a pair of commits, in ‘24 Josiah Palomino and ‘25 Nathan Chavez. Palomino offers a dynamic skillset that allows him to play a number of different positions, something Head Coach Tim Kleveno is certainly excited about. As for Chavez, he is expected to see a quality amount of time on the mound, while also being in the outfield too.

Arlington’s junior class is expected to shoulder a lot of the workload this year and are led ‘25 Andrew Magallanez, who is a returning All-League Player. Both ‘25 Nick Velazquez, who is a big left-handed power bat and ‘25 Sky Donaldson who is an intriguing arm are a pair of other juniors that will be making big contributions this year too. As for underclassmen, ‘26 Jayden Hicks will be looking to gain some big experience this year. Two freshmen to note, ‘27 Luke Bacon and ‘27 Joseph Flores will be looking to contribute as well during their first years at the varsity level.

Coach Tim Kleveno’s Expectations: “Playoff eligible team for sure. League Title contender for sure”
