Ventura, Calif. - As the entirety of the of the California High School sections are fully underway including the Northern sections all playing games Prep Baseball California will be highlighting a weekly game of the week.

This weeks match up from NorCal Central Coast Section Game of the Week features a tilt between Prep Baseball California Power 25 #20 ranked Bellarmine College Prep Bells taking on a the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs in a WCAL tilt. The two squared off earlier in the week with Bellarmine bringing home a win and will now face off again to complete week.

Game Preview:  Both teams enter with strong offensive stats heading into the game with Mitty hitting .359 as a team while slugging .446 with an on base percentage at .469, while Bellarmine is hitting at .314 clip as a team with a .407 team OBP, a .454 SLG and fielding at a .975 clip. Mitty has scored 65 runs in their 11 games just under 6 runs per game while the Bells have 48 runs in 7 games just under 7 per game currently. Bellarmine has 5 regulars hitting over .300 with Evan Tavarez leading the team at .391 with 1 HR, 2 doubles, and 7 RBI's. Mitty has 5 regulars who are hitting over .400 with Junior Waylon Walsh leading the way at .469 with 1 HR, 2 doubles, 15 total hits and 7 RBI's. Where the two teams differ comes on the mound with the Bells featuring a pitching staff that has allowed just 8 runs in 7 games for a team ERA of .85 and has stuck out 44 hitters in 49.1 innings. Seniors Liam Kropp and Ishaan Khambul both sport ERA's under 1.00 and have thrown 12 innings and 13.1 innings early in the spring. Bellarmine shut down the Mitty offense in the opener of the series, but the final game will require them to keep the hot bats of the Eagles down for another matchup.
