The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as we have started the '24 CIF High School baseball season Prep Baseball California is now highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '25 athletes. The players featured are pulled directly from our '25 Class Rankings. These JR year players are ones that college coaches and fans should be keeping their eyes on over the coming months.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts and the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance, and Visual Edge provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on a SoCal '25 OF Connor Sawyer out of Santa Fe Christian High School. Sawyer's has an athletic 6'1 185 lbs frame with strength in his lower 1/2 while showing room to continue adding strength in upper body. He is an above average athlete who runs a 6.82 60 while showing the life on his throws from the OF with carry to profile as solid CF/RF recruit in the '25 class. He moves well defensively and shows feel for accuracy on his throws, but can continue to polish the arm tool. His load is quiet with a consistent ability to get to the launch position on time with a quick bat. His approach and feel for the barrel is strong with strong batted ball data including max exit velocity at 93.5 MPH while averaging 88.1 MPH on his exit velocity. The bat path shows leverage to the middle of the field with a max distance of 347'. With a potential above average hit tool and feel to drive the ball through the middle of the field Sawyer's has an intriguing defensive/offensive profile for college programs in the '25 class.

Hit: RHH. Even stance with hands away from his body below his shoulders. Short stride with very little movement in his swing. Shoots line drives to the pull side.

Power: 93.5 mph max exit velocity, averaged 88.1 mph. 347' max distance.

Arm: RH. OF-84 mph.

ATH: 6.82 runner in the 60.
