The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Rock Canyon 12 Heritage 7
In a huge league game on Tuesday, Rock Canyon was down 2 to 1 after 2 innings but then in the 3rd they put up a 5 spot and another 3 in the top of the 4th that put the game out of reach for them.   Rock Canyon’s 2019 Josh Terry was 4 for 4 with 6 RBI’s and 2019 Kevin Pipich was 3 for 3 with 3 RBI’s.  Heritage had some players with great games, 2020 Air Force commit Jim Hebenstreit was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and a home run, and 2019 Garden City CC commit Mason Mitchell was 1 for 2 with an RBI. 

Cheyenne Mountain 5 Palmer Ridge 3
With the game tied at 2 each after the 5th inning, the Indians came out hot in the 6th and put up a 3 spot and went on to win again on Tuesday.  The Indians were led by, 2020 Michael Ellis who pitched 4 innings allowing just 4 hits, 1 earned run, and 5 strikeouts. At the dish for the Indians 2019 Aaron Berkhoff was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Palmer Ridge’s 2019 Jack Wotta was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and hit a home run.

Valor 10 Mountain Range 5
Visiting Mountain Range was up 4 to 1 after the top of the 5th inning, and then Valor’s bats came alive in the bottom of the 5th and 6th inning scoring 4 and 5 runs respectively.  Valor’s 2021 Radek Birkholz had a huge game at the plate going 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s and a long ball, and 2020 Jackson Yarborough was 2 for 2 with 3 RBI’s.  For Mountain Range Tristan Wolf was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.

Legacy 5 Dakota Ridge 4
Legacy came out hot in the bottom of the 1st scoring 4 runs, but Dakota Ridge came back and put up 2 in the 3rd and another 2 in the 5th to tie the game up, and send it into extra innings.  In the bottom of the 9th Legacy was able to push the winning run across.  Legacy player 2021 Cale Claridge was 1 for 4, 4 RBI’s and a home run.  On the mound for Legacy 2021 Macully Sehr was impressive going 5 innings allowing just 1 earned run.  For Dakota Ridge 2020 pitcher Zach Radigan went 6 strong, giving up just 5 hits and 1 earned run.

Lakewood 10 Fort Collins 7
Fort Collins was on a run winning many games but game up short against Lakewood on Tuesday.  For Lakewood 2019 Simon Baumgardt was 1 for 2 with 3 RBI’s and took one deep and 2020 Josh Beattie was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.  For Fort Collins 2020 University of Virginia commit Colby Shade was 1 for 4, 2 RBI’s and a yard ball, and 2020 Hayden Iverson was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

Mullen 14 Eaglecrest 10
After 1 the score was 4 to 3 Eaglecrest and stayed that way until the bottom of the 4th when Mullen took off and score 7 runs, but Eaglecrest did not go away and put up 5 runs in the top of the 6th to make the score 12 to 10 Mullen. Then in the bottom, half of the 6th Mullen dropped 2 more runs and put it away. For Mullen 2020 Jack Vitry had a great day going 3 for 4 with 5 RBI’s.  2019 Evan Malloy was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s and a home run, and 2022 Trevor Moore was 1 for 2 with an RBI and a home run.  For Eaglecrest 2019 Doane College commit Evan Mason was 1 for 3 with 3 RBI’s. 

 

Cherry Creek 13 Grandview 9
Cherry Creek was leading the game 13 to 3 going into the top half of the 5th, and the Wolves wouldn’t go away putting up 2 in the 5th and added another 4 in the top of the 7th but it wasn’t enough in the league game on Tuesday.  The Bruins were led by, 2020 Ben Perla who was 4 for 4 scoring 3 times and driving in 2 runs.  2020 Clay Cutter was 2 for 4 scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 runs, and 2020 University of Virginia commit Jack Moss was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and another 2 RBI’s.

Smoky Hill 10 Arapahoe 5
Smoky Hill stayed hot on Tuesday by winning their league game against Arapahoe.  The Buffaloes came out hot scoring 7 runs in the first 2 innings, and then added another 3 in the bottom of the 6th to put the game away.  For Smoky Hill, 2020 Diego Velasquez went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s, 2019 Ayden Grimble was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and 2021 Preston Cooper was 2 for 4 with 4 RBI’s.  For Arapahoe 2019 Cade Segura was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s, 2019 Turner Pruitt was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and 2020 Spye Turnbeaugh hit a home run for the Warriors.

Brighton 18 Westminster 3
Brighton put this one away early scoring 18 runs in the first 3 innings.  The Bulldogs 2020 Riley Herrera was 3 for 3 with 4 RBI’s, 2021 Chase Prestwich was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s, and 2020 G. Szafraniec was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s.

Denver South 4 Denver East 3
Denver East was leading the game 3 to 1 after 4 innings, but then Denver South put 2 up in the 5th and the winning run in the bottom of the 6th.  Denver South pitcher 2020 Grayson Gifford did a great job on the bump allowing just 3 hits, 1 earned run to go along with 11 strikeouts.
