PBR COLORADO SUMMER SCOUT LEAGUE

PBR Colorado finished it's inaugural season of the Summer Scout League. The PBR Colorado Summer Scout League is designed to give players an all-inclusive package that will meet participants’ recruiting, game-development, skill-development, and exposure needs. The package included 9 inning games played at local Colorado college fields which includes Metropolitan State, Regis, Colorado School of Mines, and Univeristy of Colorado, Colorado Springs. All games were scouted by the PBR Colorado Staff, and players had multiple times to get their profiles updated on the PBR Colorado website which is subscribed to over 850 colleges. This was a great opportunity to be seen in front of state colleges in the area.

Over 160 players participated with several players showing off next-level talent on the field. Over the course of the next few months we will be highlighting "Top Performer Spotlights" on players who really stood-out this summer.

Scouting Report

6-12-18

Uncommitted, 2019 right hand pitcher who went 6 scoreless innings in his last outing.  Simple approach on the mound, good balance point and then falls to the plate.  Arm is over the top and stay in-line with the plate through his delivery.  Fastball was 70-72 mph with arm side run.  His best pitch of the day was a 58-60 mph curve with tight spin and late break.  Kim used this pitch to set up his fastball in certain counts.  Recorded several groundouts and had the Brighton hitters off balance all day.

6-foot-1, 180-pound right hand hitting RHP who ran an 8.03 60. Open stance, big leg kick trigger, solid balance. Short loose path, hands create bat speed, 83 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively was solid in the outfield, fields through the ball and arm was 73 mph.  Righty on the mound and throws from an over-the-top arm angle, average arm speed. Toe lift to balance point with average effort leads to some rhythm and helps land in line. Straight fastball averages between 72-73 mph. Curve was 63 mph with sweeping break and change was 72 mph.
