PBR: Why did you choose Northwest Missouri State?
WOOD: I liked the coaching staff and the campus during my visit. Also I will be playing with a couple of teammates from Impact Player Baseball that will be coming out from California and have committed to Northwest Missouri State too.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
WOOD: Penn State, Dallas Baptist, Illinois State, and Minot State.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
WOOD: They actually found my profile on the PBR website so Thank You! They called and talked to me after watching my videos. I went and visited and talked to Coach Loe and Coach Creason and really enjoyed it, and decided a few days later that was where I wanted to go and called Coach Loe and made my commitment.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
WOOD: Yes, It’s really nice being able to just focus on preparing for baseball and finishing my senior year of school.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
WOOD: The quality of the campus and facilities, pretty close to home, and the hospitality and feeling I got from both the coaches and the players I met during the visit.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
WOOD: My Parents, They have allowed me to live my dream and traveled all over the country with me to play baseball in tournaments, play with Travel teams, and attend showcases.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
WOOD: With playing in the PBR, Area Codes, Baseball Factory, and PG events my expectation was that someone would see me and contact me if they were interested in me as a player. I did contact a few coaches, eventually it happened that coaches contacted me when they were able to and made the process fairly easy and happened fast in the end.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
WOOD: To be able to compete for a starting pitcher position and a chance to try 1st base and be a 2-way player.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
WOOD: Hitting 4 homeruns, 12 Rbi’s and pitching a complete game shutout all in 1 game in the 14U World Series Semi-finals.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
WOOD: Jordan Adell; he’s a stud.
