Jay Prior is a strong, athletic 6-foot-3 SS/RHP out of Center Grove High School.  He possesses good athleticism and rhythm in the field, but projects as a third baseman in college.  Prior shows plus power at the plate, along with good rhythm in swing. 

On the mound he creates a lot of momentum with his delivery.  At the PBR Indiana Preseason All State Showcase last February he sat at 82-84 mph with his fastball, and was up to 85 this past spring and 87 mph this summer.  Prior has shown the ability to throw a good splitter, demonstrating good arm speed with good sink action.  With continued improvement on his delivery, Prior projects to be a good two way guy at the next level.
