The Pitchers Showcase & Analysis took place on Saturday, January 5th at the Kastle, home of the Louisiana Knights in Mandeville, LA. The event featured 20 pitching prospects from across the state of Louisiana.

TOP fastball velocity

There were 10+ pitchers that ran their fastballs up to 83 mph or better on Saturday. Logan Wilcox (Central Lafourche, 2020) and Kade Woods (Ouachita Christian, 2022) topped the fastball leaderboard touching 88 mph. Connor Macip (Teurlings Catholic, 2020) touched 87 mph, while Brant Smith (Live Oak, 2021) touched 85 mph, and both Willy Flynn (Riverdale, 2020), John Gray, Jr. (Southside, 2021) touched 84 mph.

Best breaking ball
 Kade Woods (Ouachita Christian, 2022) really made noise on Saturday, as the athletic 6-foot-2, 165-pound right-hander showed extremely advanced ability on the mound. He ran his fastball up to 88 mph, while flashing a wipe out, power curveball with tight spin and depth at 78 mph. A strong 5-foot-10, 170-pound left-hander, Landon Joyner (Benton, 2020) showed advanced pitchability with feel for quality secondary stuff on Saturday. He manipulated the breaking ball with ease, showing 2/8 shape with sharp, late break, tight spin, depth and fastball arm speed at 70-71 mph.
