COMMITMENT: UNIVERSITY OF VALLEY FORGE

PBR MD:  List any awards / accolades you received in high school.

  • Honor Roll, 2017 Public School Coaches 2nd Team All-Anne Arundel County, 2017 Capital Gazette 2nd Team All-County, 2017 MSABC Team Maryland East Futures Team, 2017 PBR MD Top Performers of the Week (4-10), Southern High School Sewell Dixon Baseball Scholarship

PBR MD:  Why did you choose the University of Valley Forge?

  • I feel that UVF was the best fit for me because of their strong Sports Management program along with the various real-life opportunities that field will provide me. UVF is also allowing me the chance to continue my baseball career for the next 4 years at the NCAA level. While the baseball program is rebuilding, I am happy about the direction the program is moving and excited to be apart of it. I also wanted to pick a school away from home, so this allows me to travel a little bit but still also be a three hour drive away from home. It will help better prepare me for my future while also allowing me to continue my love for playing the game.

PBR MD:  What do you plan to major in at the University of Valley Forge?

  • Sports Management

PBR MD:  What are some of your goals you would like to achieve at the University of Valley Forge?

  • Academically, I want to graduate with a Bachelors in Sports Management with the intentions of transferring after my 4 years to earn my Master's. In baseball, I have a goal of helping break the school's all-time win record and individually, I have a goal of earning a starting spot as a freshman and finishing my college career as a plus .300 hitter.

PBR MD:  What are your plans this summer to get ready for school?

  • I plan on playing summer baseball for Legion to get game reps and to help prepare me for playing with older kids. I will also be lifting in the gym and doing a lot of individual work on my own to be more physically fit and to overcome my weaknesses thus preparing me for college baseball.

PBR MD:  Are you playing summer baseball? If yes, who are you planning to play for?

  • Yes, Calvert American Legion

PBR MD:  What other schools recruited you?

  • Camden County College, Delaware Valley University, Marymount University, PSU-Abington

PBR MD:  What was your favorite part about the recruiting process?

  • Traveling around to different schools and tournaments and making a decision that will affect the rest of my life.
