What made Mount St. Mary’s the right fit for you?
+
When I went on my visit I knew this was the one. The atmosphere was great along with the facilities they had to provide. While talking to Coach Thomson I knew he was a straight forward guy.

What was the recruiting process like for you?
+
I wasn't stressed out about it, I was hopeful that everything would work out for me.

What other schools did you consider?
+
Alderson-Broaddus, Salisbury University, Randolph-Macon College, Bridgewater College, JMU, Florida Gulf Coast, George Mason University

What were key factors you were looking for in your college decision?
+
I was looking for a school that could fit my academic and baseball capabilities. Location didn't really matter to me.

What are your goals now before you graduate?
+
This High School season is going to be challenging because of all the starters we lost. Hopefully we surprise some people and make a good playoff run.

When did things start to heat up for you?
+
I received interest from quite a few coaches during my junior year at Southern Maryland, then down in Georgia, and finally when Mount St Mary's started to recruit me in early August.

What are you going to bring to Mount St. Mary’s as a freshman?
+
I am going to be successful by bringing a strong work ethic on the field and in the classroom. I'm going to be the best teammate I can be by challenging my teammates to get better every day and by supporting them.

Who is the best player you have played against?
+
Cannan Cropper (MD), I played against him during High School before he went on to pitch at South Carolina.

What summer program did you play for and what did you learn with them?
+
I played with the Mid-Atlantic Red Sox during the past two years. Coach Shives always stressed working every day to get better and dedication to the game.

Do you have any advice for younger players beginning to/going through the recruiting process?
+
Be patient, do not press, and try to find the school that is the best fit you academically and athletically.
