This year, in addition to the Scout Day Showcases, we are also going to spotlighting programs as a whole with an interview with each participating teams head coach providing insight into their expectations for Spring 2021, key players, incoming players, players expected to have breakout seasons, how they have navigated the past year and much more. Next, we spotlight a program that has quickly become a Southern Nevada powerhouse with a history high level prospects coming through the program and this year is no different with MLB Draft hopeful, Jacob Walsh.

What are your expectations your program for the 2021 Spring Season?

Our expectations from year to year never change compete at the highest level play the best teams and try to win whatever they allow us to compete for. 

Who are the top returning players you have coming back this Spring? 

Tripp Edens, Cole Roberts, Reed Schaefer, Jake Walsh, Dylan Dirig, Nick Lichty

Who on your roster do you expect to have a breakout season in 2021?

2022- Tyler Stott, Jordan Metzger
2023 - Jet Gilliam
2024- Joell Castro 

How does your program differentiate from others? What does your program do in the
Summer and Fall Seasons?

We play year round and try and play anyone anywhere anytime with whoever we have available. We travel around the country and try and play the best teams.  We are actually going to Omaha Nebraska this summer to play during the college world series.  We will stop along the way and play at different spots.

How are you preparing for the Spring?

Like always trying to get guys prepared for a spring season in hopes that it goes off.  If not we will be prepared to anything 

What has your program done to combat the restricted ability to play baseball over the past
year? 

We have tried maintain some sense of normalcy during these trying times.  We have been renting fields and using parks to run practices at.  We have also been traveling to different states.

Dylan Dirig - CSN

Jet Gilliam - Long Beach State 

Besides a State Championship, what do you try to accomplish within your program every Year?

We try and develop our kids to get the most out of them. We try and get our kids opportunities to move on and play this game at the next level. We also Try and get our kids to compete and try to win a state championship every year.

PBR Nevada Director of Scouting, Brett Harrison

The Las Vegas Aces are approaching this Spring with the eye on another State Championship with MLB Draft hopeful and PBR Nevada ProCase standout, Jacob Walsh, leading the way. They large framed, physical specimen has shown his versatility in recent month, making a transition to the outfield with his improved speed and present power allowing him to hold down a corner outfield spot at the next level while also having the ability to stay put at his primary position at first base. Uncommitted 2021 OF, Tripp Edens, has quietly been a key part of the Aces success over the past few years at the top of their lineup with his power potential to the pull sides recently progressing towards having present power. A huge transfer in 2023 OF and Long Beach State commit, Jet Gilliam, injects ton of athleticism into the lineup as a top of the order bat that can wreak havoc on the base paths and hold down any outfield position. 2021 LHP and Arizona signee, Reed Schaefer, is going to be one of the work horses in the pitching rotation along with Uncommitted 2021 RHP, Cole Roberts, who also expected to split most of the Springs starts with Schaefer. This program seems to reload every year and this year is no different and we expect them to make a deep push in to the playoff this Spring with a potent roster.
