Top Performers

Loncey Conyers RHP / St. Francis Prep, NY / 2018 / Ulster CC

Full frame with some occasional sink to the FB. Some effort attached to his 87-90 MPH; if he settles in more in the 86-87 range and continues to get lateral action with late tilt to the breaking ball, he'll have a successful spring. Hillsborough CC (FL) transfer.

Giovanni Diaz SS / RHP / Christopher Columbus , NY / 2018 / Sullivan CC

One of the more dynamic players on the field this fall. Compact frame with fast twitch actions defensively; 88 MPH across the diamond with a quick traditional infielders release. Pull side approach with mostly line drive results. Showed command 85-88 MPH on the mound with an array of secondary offerings including a power change with late arm side fade and both sharp action CB and SL. Intriguing follow.

Alec Burchhardt OF / RHP / Schalmont , NY / 2018 / Adirondack CC

Imposing figure in the box with big time power to his pull side; lost several balls during BP with a simplistic, repeatable swing path. Corner OF right now but easily could slide into a 1B role at the 4 year level.

Josh Myers 1B / RHP / Three Oaks , PE / 2018 / Adirondack CC

Lean, athletic build for the smooth swinging LHH from Prince Edward Island, Canada. Worked out at both corner spots and on the mound but more polished at 1B for the next level. Showed easy lift to the pull side gap.

Jordan Kazen RHP / 3B / Notre Dame , ON / 2017 / Sullivan CC

The burly RHP showed above average FB command to both sides of the plate at 82-84 (have seem up to 85/86 in the past). Showed late action breaking ball the falls under the hard slurve catergory; sinking change.

Justin Mateo SS / OF / Monsignor McClancy, NY / 2017

One of the better all-around athletes; showed a big arm from the OF and left side of the diamond. Line drive stroke to both gaps during BP. Possible Corner OF or 3B/2B with some SS sprinkled in at the 4 year level. Versatile enough to fit a programs needs.

Jhojandy Hernandez OF / Salesian , NY / 2018

Ran a blazing 6.56 60 and showed off enough arm from the OF. Swing was a bit rigid early during his round but started to free it up late; ball jumped off his bat to finish.

Jumy Poueriet RHP / OF / Richmond Hill , NY / 2018

Intriguing arm to keep and eye on. Command wasn't immaculate but he showed some life to his FB with some late action to his off-speed. Continued polish will benefit the athletically built RHP.

Prospero Perez C / 2B / Park West, NY / 2018

Compact build for the RHH; flashed some bat speed during BP with some lift down the line and to the pull side gap. Accurate throws that held some carry. With some fine tuning to his game, he'll make an impact at his next program by improving the depth behind the plate.

Michael Pavelchak OF / LHP / Nyack, NY / 2018

Lean, athletic build for the LHH OF and pitcher. Showed a quick release and accurate arm from the OF along with spread, simple/direct swing path during BP. Could also fill roll out of the pen as LHP at the next level.

Kelvin Gutierrez OF / SS / Bathgate, NY / 2018

6.65 60 for the switch-hitter. Showed some extra base potential from the left side the plate, peppering balls in the gap. Right side wasn't as clean with more of a contact approach. Enough carry on throws to handle all 3 OF positions.

Joe Ottaviano OF / RHP / Albertus Magnus, NY / 2018

Ottaviano showed a spray it around approach in the box with plenty of arm from the OF (85 MPH). Also offers some funk on the mound with varying arm angles at 81-83 MPH. Two-way potential at the next level as he can provide a different look on the bump.

Keep an eye on...

Evan Bowers (Adirondack CC): scrappy, table setter approach. CF/LF type at the 4-year level
Jeremie Goyer (Sullivan CC): 6.82 60, 85 MPH from the OF, pounded some balls to the pull side.
Michael Holohan (Ulster CC): Full framed RHH/1B who showed some pop to the pull side.
Alex Andrew (Queensborough CC): One of the better BP rounds, flat path, middle of the field. Needs a little more arm to stick at 3B.

Ethan Blaisdell 1B / 3B / Auburn , NY / 2017
