Marcos Perivolaris, MIF, Mattituck HS, NY (2015)
Perivolaris stands 5-foot-8 158-pounds with a strong athletic frame. In the field he charges the ball fielding it in the middle of his stance, funnels to his belt and uses a clean transfer. He throws from a low ¾ slot at 80 mph getting his back side through the ball. He shows quickness with his feet and ran a 4.3 home to first time from the right handed batter’s box. At the plate his set up is balanced, on the pitch he uses a small back load, heel lift for timing, and shows a powerful swing on a level path through the zone. He gets his back side through the ball, uses long extension, shoulder high finish and shows great power potential. His exit velocity was 83 mph off a tee.

Analysis:

Perivolaris is a very solid, sure handed middle guy that projects at the next level. His glove is sound, as well as his footwork and arm. His mechnics to and through the ball could be cleaner, but with continued hard work there is no question he is defensively ready to make the next level jump. At the plate I like his bat, especially how he gets long extension through contact out in front. He showed pull power and quick hands. We look forward to seeing his growth this winter to spring as one of Long Islands better defensive players.
