OK Spring Preview: El Reno Indians

Andy Urban
OK/MO/KS Scouting Supervisor

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on March 2nd, opening day for regular season action under Ossaa regulations. Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2020 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, leading into a countdown through the official PBR Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

If you would like your team covered, please have your head coach email us at [email protected]

TOP PLAYERS

Brice Hill, SR 6'4" 220, B-R, T-R...RHP, 3B, (Committed to Rose State), Looking for a big season from Brice, He missed his JR year because of injury. He was our No. 2 as a Freshman & Sophomore. Can swing the bat as well, as he will bring some pop in the middle of the order.

Gabe Ruoff, SR 5' 10" 155, B-L, T-R...RHP, UTL,  3 Year Starter, Gabe is a Left handed hitter with speed, that will hit in the top of the line-up. Gabe is also a consistent pitcher for us, as he has pitched a lot of innings his Sophomore & JR. Years..

Cash Crawford, SR 5' 11" 190, B-R, T-R...CF  Started for us as a Sophomore, Cash is one of the best CF around (Gap to Gap Speed). Cash also missed his Jr. Year because of injury.. Cash will hit lead off and brings a lot of speed to the line up...

Andrew Nix, SR, 6'1" 170, B-S, T-R... UTL, RHP.. A 3 year starter, Andrew has played a lot of baseball for us the last 2 years. He can play anywhere, he is a switch hitter that also brings speed to the line up. Expecting a big year from him..

Kolton Hunt, JR, 6'4" 225, LHP, B-R, T-L..1B, OF, This will be Kolton's 3rd year to start for us. He has been a starting LHP Pitcher that has been solid & effective for us the last 2 years. Kolton will be productive for us in the middle of the order again this year.

Boston Ellison, JR, 5' 11" 160 , B-R, T-R SS, RHP Boston is a natural OF, but with his athleticism we moved him to SS. Boston has a strong arm, will be a valuable pitcher for us in the rotation, and possess speed at the plate.

Brayden Fulton, Soph, 5' 9" 175, B-R, T-R...C, 3B, RHP  Brayden will be our starting Catcher, he has worked hard and has improved a lot behind the dish. Brayden has improved his bat as well as he will also produce some runs for us hitting in the middle of the line-up.

Collyn Carnott SR, 5' 9" 190, B-R, T-R...LF, RHP  Collyn is a solid LF that started for us last year. He will also contribute on the mound, and at catcher. Collyn has worked hard to improve his hitting, and we are looking for Collyn to have a big SR. year.

OUTLOOK

The El Reno Indians will rely on solid and experienced starting pitching and athletic outfield play. As they continue to develop infield play, they could become tough to beat.
