On Tuesday, June 13th, the PBR Oklahoma staff hosted the Top Prospect Underclass Games at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. This showcase featured close to 60 players from the 2026, 2027, and 2028 classes from across the state. Those in attendance participated in a pro-style workout, followed by a simulated game.  Today we take a quick look at just a few of the performances that caught our attention in an event that featured talent all across the board.

Malakai Dillard OF / SS / Lincoln Christian, OK / 2026

Dillard showed why he is one of the more exciting players in the 2026 class with a strong overall performance both in the showcase setting and in the game.   Dillard was able to show off his wheels running a 4.56 from the right side in the home to first and showed the arm strength in the outfield going up to 86 mph.  His swing is athletic and he is already showing some strength at contact even from a smaller frame.

Avery Lonberg 3B / RHP / Edmond North, OK / 2026

Lonberg turned some heads during BP where he had the third highest exit velocity at the event at 92.5 mph.  He showed some arm strength specifically in the outfield and had a strong showing when live bullets were thrown in the game.  Standing at a projectable 6-foot and 175-pounds, keep an eye on Lonberg as he continues to gain strength and experience.

Bentley Seeberger C / RHP / Edmond North, OK / 2027

Seeberger is a definite 2027 name to follow showing big time 2-way potential each time we see him.  Whether its his work behind the plate with throws showing strong carry and accuracy to the bag, with the bat where he went 92.5 mph off the barrel, or on the mound where he's already showing potential power arm stuff.    Seeberger has the type of physicality and tools that makes him a must follow in the future.

Reid Smith C / 3B / Piedmont, OK / 2026

Smith is coming off a strong spring that saw him get significant playing time at the Varsity level at Piedmont and he did not disappoint in our looks at him at the underclass games.  He has always shown a strong ability to receive and block and worked pop times in the range of 2.02-2.08 in the one.  Offensively he had one of the stronger rounds of BP showing potential power to all fields.

Cooper Kardokus SS / RHP / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026

Kardokus always shows up as one of the top "Baseball Players" each time we get our eyes on him.  The tools are strong even for the 2026 class with his 88 mph arm across the diamond and some physicality from both sides of the plate generating exit velocities up to 91.  It is his intangibles that standout and how comfortable he looks both in the box and in the dirt on defense with the moment never looking too big for him.  There's a reason he's considered amongst the top in the 2026 class as he is one of the top skilled players in the region.

Eddie Fish SS / Yukon, OK / 2026

Fish showed his athletic game at the underclass games running a very quick 4.40 down the line and showing the ability to translate that speed into gameplay.  Fish excelled in both the outfield and in the infield in this one and shows some increased strength with the bat since the last time we've seen him.  Fish has the type of projectable game that should continue to see jumps as he adds more strength and experience.

Jase Winchester SS / 2B / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026

Winchester proved why he is considered amongst one of the top defenders in the middle of the diamond for the 2026 class with his smooth actions and arm strength that should allow him to stay on the left side in the future.  He has an athletic swing with a short and compact route that translates to line drives all over the field.  With his advanced defense and bat to ball skills, Winchester will continue to be a must-follow in the coming years.

Kaden Dean LHP / OF / Preston, OK / 2026

Dean had an impressive day on both sides of the ball reaching 85 mph from the outfield and showing a feel for the barrel in the zone during BP.  It was his work on the mound that caught the most attention with the fastball working up to 84 mph and showing one of the better breaking balls in the state regardless of class in the low 70's.  He also showed a feel for a 73 mph CH that he can use effectively to right handed hitters when needed.  His high-end pitchability matched with plus stuff makes him a definite must watch in the future.

Baylor Shaw C / 3B / Enid, OK / 2028

One of the youngest players at the event shined in his PBR debut starting with his work with the bat.  The 2028 grad worked exit velocities up to 88 mph with strong leverage at the plate and also showed some serious potential from behind the plate with showcase pop times as low as 2.06.  At 6-foot and 145-pounds, Shaw has plenty of room to grow and should continue to see big jumps in the tools in the near future.

Cole Dunlap C / RHP / Carl Albert, OK / 2027

Although he has started high school yet, Dunlap has already found his name to be considered amongst the tops in the country thanks to advanced tools and big time potential.  Dunlap led the event with a 87.7 mph fastball and mixed in a mid 70's curveball with tight action and spin.  Behind the plate, he showed showcase pop times as low as 1.94 with big time arm strength at 79 mph.  The recent switch hitter has some strength in the hands at contact and he should be considered as one of the potential top two-way players in the region.

Whit Thomas SS / 3B / Heritage Hall, OK / 2026

Thomas continues to make big strides in his game and had a strong showing this past Tuesday at the Underclass Games.  Thomas has seen his arm strength continue to improve going 83 mph across the diamond with more in the tank thanks to a loose and quick arm action.  He had one of the more impressive rounds of BP from the left side, shooting line drives all over the field and even showed an improved athleticism running a 4.44 down the line.  With his projectable size and already big jumps made since last summer, look for Thomas to continue to be on the rise as he continues to grow into his game.

Traylon Barnes 2B / SS / Tuttle, OK / 2027

Barnes showed some athleticism throughout the day running a 4.66 and throwing 78 mph from the across the diamond but it was his work on the mound that stole the show.   Barnes had a dominating inning on the mound using his strong three pitch mix highlighted by his heavy fastball at 82 mph.  Barnes pounded the zone and came right after hitters showing a strong plan and feel for pitchability.  As he continues to add strength and size in the future, don't be surprised to see his stock continue to rise in the coming years.

Boston Acosta LHP / OF / Verdigris , OK / 2026

Acosta might not have the overpowering stuff that will wow people in a showcase bullpen setting but that doesn't mean he can't be extremely effective.  Acosta has a ton of movement on his fastball that chases barrels away and showed an improved breaking ball from the last time we've seen him.  With him throwing the slider at 72 mph with strong action, don't be surprised to see his fastball velocity make big jumps in the near future.

Elijah Williams LHP / OF / Community Christian, OK / 2026

Williams caught our attention on the mound with one of the quicker hands from the left side in the class and an aggressive attack on the hitters.   Working the fastball up to 84 mph, Williams was able to use his mid 70's changeup effectively to mix and match and showed strong action on an upper 60's slider to give him options when attacking hitters.  Standing at only 5-foot-9 and 135-pounds, look for Williams to be a big riser in the future with his very quick hand speed and future added strength.

Izzac Mia C / RHP / Moore, OK / 2026

Mia is another 2-way prospect in the 2026 class that people should start taking notice of.  He has strong defensive skills behind the plate with pop times as low as 2.00 and showed big time arm strength in the outfield and infield going 89 mph and 82 mph respectively.  He has some strength in the barrel showing exit velocities up to 89 as well.  On the mound he used that arm strength to work fastballs up to 84 mph and showed a feel for both the changeup and curveball.  With his strong tools and developing skills, be on the lookout for Mia in the future.

Brock Copass C / OF / Bixby , OK / 2027

Copass has some advanced tools and skills that you don't always see show up in players at his age.  Already standing at 6-foot-1 and 190-pounds, Copass has some built in strength and room for added more in the future.  He showed a tight pop time range of 2.03-2.08 and filled up the strike zone with the fastball working up to 79 mph.  He should continue to see those numbers rise as he continues to gain strength and experience in the future.

Parker Hayes LHP / 1B / Mount St. Mary Catholic, OK / 2026

Hayes is one of the more projectable arms in the 2026 class thanks to his strike throwing abilities standing at 6-foot-5 and 160-pounds.  Hayes went right after hitters with his 82 mph fastball and feel for shaping the mid to upper 60's curveball.  With his frame and clean arm action, don't be surprised to see big jumps from him in the near future.

Jackson Turney 1B / LHP / Sand Springs, OK / 2026

Turney continues to show why he is considered amongst the top power bats in the 2026 class with balls jumping off the barrel at 94 mph.  It isn't just his work with the bat in BP that catches attention as he shows the ability to drive the ball to all fields against live pitching and doesn't seem too bothered by tough left-handed arms.  With his natural strength and strong barrel control, Turney has a chance to be one of the better all-around hitters in the area as he continues to gain experience in the box.

Barrett Marlow C / OF / Verdigris , OK / 2026

Marlow continues to make jumps behind the plate as he lowered his showcase pop time down to 1.97.  He shows strong blocking and receiving skills already and the bat continues to show up with advanced barrel to ball skills.  He's also more athletic than most would realize and takes that with him on both sides of the ball making him an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on in the future.

Anderson Forrest 2B / C / Tuttle, OK / 2026

Forrest has always been a highly skilled player with a strong baseball IQ.  Now he is starting to show bigger growth in his tools showing more speed running a 4.46 down to first and strong defensive showing from the infield, outfield, as well as behind the plate.  The switch hitter also showed stronger barrel control and more pop than his lean frame would suggest.
