Ontario Prospect of the Week - Cole Taylor

Cole Taylor LHP / 1B / Belle River District, ON / 2020

Prospect Update: Taylor, a 2020 left-hander from the Windsor Selects is a very interesting arm and it is not hard to imagine him continuing to trend upwards as he adds strength and maturity to his 6-foot, 170-pound frame. On the mound, Taylor works in the low 80's and repeats his delivery for the most part. He works in the zone with three pitches and will get some run to his arm-side with the heater. There is feel and comfort with his curveball that works in the 67-69 range while the changeup is still developing. The actions are pretty controlled and we can see Taylor adding more velocity when he incorporates more lower half and a firmer front side.
