Ontario Insider: Uncommitted Senior Spotlight - Niall Windeler, LHP

Name: Niall Windeler
Position: LHP
Class: 2016
Ranked: 18th in Ontario
High School: Senator O’Connor
Club Team: Toronto Mets
Height/Weight: 6-foot-3, 190-pounds

Scouting Report: Windeler has a projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 190-pound lean figure with room to add strength. Long legs with big hands help the left-hander when he is being projected in the future. Currently, the southpaw is a strike thrower who competes well with his current repertoire. Windeler mixes a fastball that has been anywhere between 80-85 mph over the last couple months, while he throws a spike curveball that has rotation and a straight change and cutter. When Windeler is getting his off-speed over for strikes, he is dominant and stays in control of the game. The tall lefty displays good downhill plane while he gets gathered over the rubber. The arm works and can see his velocity increasing.
