No. 7 Nazareth will take on No. 8 Liberty in the Distrcit 11 AAAA Championship on Wednesday, May 30th at 6:00pm at Coca Cola Park in Allentown.  Nazareth (20-4) advanced with an 11-1 decision over Pocono Mountain East yesterday in the semi-finals.  They did so without the services of Karl Keglovits, ranked No. 1 in the Class of 2012, due to an injury sustained to his pitching hand in the quarterfinals.

Dan Shepherd was the star of the day pitching a complete game five-hitter while 2-for-2 at the plate with three RBI. His offensive outburst included a run scoring single in the fifth inning that ended the game via the 10-run mercy rule.

Nazareth was aided offensively by shortstop Mike Garzillo who wen 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs scored and to stolen bases.

Nazareth will now face Liberty (20-3) for the District 11 title and the No. 1 seed in the PIAA playoffs.
