J.J. Matijevic Continues Torrid Clip at the Plate

J.J. Matijevic, ranked No. 1 in the Class of 2014, continues to pile up offensive numbers at an alarming rate.  The 6-1, 205-pound third baseman is hitting .576 for the season.  In a lineup that includes six Division I committed players, Matijevic bats cleanup behind Max McDowell who has signed with UConn. The lineup has been scoring runs at an alarming rate, including 49 in its last three games.  The offense has carried Norwin to a 10-0 record and the No. 1 ranking in the state by Prep Baseball Report. Matijevic, the lone sophomore in the starting lineup, is not only carrying his weight, he is leading the team in most offensive categories.  In his last three games he has gone 12-for-14 with four doubles, three homeruns, and 17 RBI.
