Scouting Team Pennsylvania: The Middle Infielders

The Team Pennsylvania roster for the Under Armour Midwest Future Games includes three players whose primary position is middle infield. Each of these players will likely see considerable action during the course of the event at one or both of the middle infield positions.

Dominic Cuoci, a right handed hitting shortstop from LaSalle College High School, has prototypical size and ability for the shortstop position. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Cuoci was the starting shortstop for this year's Pennsylvania AAAA State Champions. Cuoci has the physical tools to make him one of the top players to watch in the Class of 2014. Along with his abilities as a shortstop, Cuoci also had an impressive year on the mound for the Explorers.

Collin Fantaskey, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound middle infielder from Warren HS will see action at both middle infield positions as well as in the outfield. Fantaskey is an impressive athlete who has a strong throwing arm and very good range. Fantaskey was the only sophomore to make major contributions for Warren High School this year on their run to a District 10 AAA Championship.

Ted Williams, a 5-foot-6, 130 pound left handed hitter from Meadville HS will see much of the time at second base. Williams has soft hands and advanced defensive skills. He has good range and turns the double play extremely well. Williams has committed two errors in two years of high school baseball at second base.
