Matt Roberts is a 5-foot-10, 200-pound C/3B from Tamaqua HS that showed well at two separate PBR events this summer. Roberts showed an advanced approach to hitting, utilizing a strong lower half to drive baseball to all fields during batting pracitce. Roberts utilized an 82 mph bat exit velocity to go 2-for-3 with 3 RBI in game play at the PA Top Prospect Classic.

Defensively, Roberts has showcased pop times of 2.25-2.35 on throws of 70 mph from the crouch. With some minor adjustments these numbers could improve quickly.

Roberts is a two-year starter behind the plate for the Blue Raiders. He is coming of a 2012 season that saw him hit .349  with a .472 on base percentage.
