Our staff is working to become the #1 news source for Prep Baseball across the state of Texas. Remember to follow us on twitter (@PBR_Texas) and reach out to us with any news, commitments, or your upcoming workout and game schedule. We are hosting four EVENTS this winter to allow players the opportunity to be evaluated by our staff with video, scouting reports and verified statistics.

Since the launch of Prep Baseball Report Texas, our staff has been all over the state covering games and evaluating players. We recently released our first ranking with the 2018 class. This past weekend our staff was in Tomball to cover the College Prospects Showcase Tournament. Here are the senior outfielders and catchers that stood out this past weekend.

Seth Soliz, OF, Fort Bend Austin HS, 2017 (Fort Bend Texans Red)
5-foot-11, 182-pound, strong build. Hammered a triple to deep center field with good back-spin. Had several other hits on the weekend including a double to left center. Strong hands at contact with loose finish. Runs bases well with aggressive turns and long strides.

Ty Dragos, C/3B/OF, Summer Creek HS, 2017 (Hunter Pence - Crew)
6-foot-2, 185-pound, athletic frame. Has present strength and all-around tools. Good mobility behind the dish with solid arm strength. Shows the ability to play multiple positions with arm strength and athleticism, including third base. The right-handed hitter has good feel for the barrel, strength to drive balls in the gaps, flashes home run power. Had multiple hits on the weekend.

Gavin Pelletier, OF, Atascocita HS, 2017 (Hunter Pence - Crew)
6-foot, 180-pound frame. On saturday, he hammered a double running a 4.71 on the turn and later hit a triple. Then on sunday, he hit a game-winning grand slam in the top of the 8th inning to send Hunter Pence into the semi-final game. Pelletier has some fast-twitch tools, including bat speed and strength at contact. There is some swing-and-miss at the plate, but makes hard contact on the barrel.

Logan Allen, OF, Magnolia HS, 2017 (Premier Baseball Futures - Nixon)
Long stride runner with a projectable, athletic, 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame. Good set-up at the plate with solid hand bath and loose finish. Hammered a fly ball to center field with back-spin.

Garrett Kellogg-Clarke, C, Cypress Woods HS, 2017 (Premier Baseball Futures - Nixon)
6-foot-1, 195-pound frame. Left-handed hitter with present strength and bat speed. Throws the barrel with some pull-side pop. Good arm strength behind the plate.

Charles Rowell, C, Magnolia West HS, 2017 (Premier Baseball Futures - Nixon)
6-foot, 180-pound frame. Caught our eye with his arm strength and clean arm action between innings. In his next plate appearance he ripped a single to left field. The right-handed hitter has a leg-kick to get started and shows strength in his hands.
