The Texas high school season kicks off on February 19, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 26, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.

Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.

We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. SEASON PREVIEW

Coach Chad Reynolds will be relying on his team's speed and overall athletic ability to carry them this season. Returning are four starters and three pitchers from last season's conference runner-up. At the helm of the pitching staff will be Midland JC commit, LHP Brock Erculiani. Leading the charge on defense is another pair Midland JC commits in SS Mason Weathers, and OF Dakota Champagne. While Justyce Bocanegra. will hold down the hot corner at 3B. The Tigers are expecting a group of juniors to impact their 2018 campaign as well, including Colton Brown, Peyten Kennard, Caeden Jenkins, Christian Kiser, Carson Gordon and Riley Robinson.
