Mizuno Player & Pitcher of the Week: Week 4

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 4 (March 11-March 17).
MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jaylen Walker OF / RHP / Lutheran South Academy, TX / 2026Walker continued to swing a hot bat this week for Lutheran South. The Sophomore tallied three extra base hits, including two home runs. He drove in four runs and scored four himself. He now has three home runs on the year as well as five doubles.

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Kolbe Fielder LHP / LD Bell, TX / 2024Fielder has been lights out on the mound this year for LD Bell and that continued this week. He tossed a no-hitter with twelve strikeouts. He was a walk in the 7th away from a perfect game. He now has 39 strikeouts in 27 innings this season.
