Curveball 75-77 mph (76) 45 55 Limited use pitch with length to action, big breaker. Ability present to vary shape. I like the upside to pitch.
Slider 78-81 mph (79) 50 60 Avg now with better at times, Depth present, ability present to manipulate action. Arm side more downer finish, adds tilt to glove side. Swing and miss pitch.
Changeup 80-81 mph (80) 45 50 Turnover type with tail/sink, sink finish. Avg deception present.
Command - 45 50 Strikes early, wandered with pitch count.
*Grades follow the 20-80 scale, with 50 used as the MLB average.

  • Strengths: Lean, lanky build with room to add strength. Plus FB future, touches 96 now, uses both sides of plate with FB. Velocity has increased from summer/fall, holding velocity better for outing. Slider is avg pitch now, manipulates action, swing/miss pitch. CB limited use pitch, I like the shape, he shows ability manipulate break. Change with turnover sink/tail action, avg deception present. Avg strike thrower innings 1-3.
  • Weaknesses: Lacks strength. Command/control backed to below avg innings 4-5 due to lack of strength/durability. Doesn’t hold runners well, work on pickoff throws, needs PFP practice working on footwork.
  • Summation: High school left-hander with 4-pitch mix and projectable body. Profiles as a 4th starter with upside to 3rd. Four pitch mix with future plus fastball. Slider and CB with similar traits, ability to manipulate action varying break. Avg strike thrower early in outing, command/control backed with pitch count. Present weaknesses can be improved, coachable skills. Will gain strength.
