The Texas Diamond Notes will focus on highlighting some of the top performances across the state based on nominations from high school coaches. We will highlight positions players, pitchers and two-way players every Tuesday/Wednesday of the high school season that had impressive weeks during their team's games. Special thank you to the many high school coaches that sent in nominations this week.

Weekly summary: Jayden helped Vela win three games this week and swept No. 14 Sharyland, and win a pivotal game vs McAllen Memorial. Our district record is 5-1 and tied for first place in a very tough 31-5A district. He pitched a complete game vs Memorial and came in relief for a Save for Sharyland in game two. 5-for-8, 4 BB, 2 RBI, 2 HBP on the week as a hitter.
