Division 2 Playoffs

Milwaukee Lutheran 16, St. Johns's NW Military 0
Milwaukee Lutheran heads to the next round of the playoffs in convincing fashion, beating St. John's 16-0.

The Red Knights threw five pitchers in five innings who combined for 14 strikeouts, only one out recorded was not via the strikeout. James Wright, Griffin Schneider, T.D. Walker, Parker Knueppel and Ryan Selner all combined in the 14 strikeout performance.

Griffin Schneider racked up three RBI on three hits for Milwaukee Lutheran. He doubled in the first inning, homered in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.

Milwaukee Lutheran  pounded St. John's Northwestern Military Academy , as six hitters combined for 15 hits, nine RBI and 10 runs scored.

Amery 12, Saint Croix Falls 0

Division 3 Playoffs

St. Mary Central 12, Menominee 2
St. Mary Central jumped out to an early lead on the Menominee Indians and captured a 12-2 victory on Thursday at St Mary Central.

Eleven runs in the first three innings allowed the Zephyrs to put the game away early. Nathan Jack had three extra-base hits for Zephyrs.

St. Mary Central was sparked by Nathan Jack and Griffin Jack, who teamed up for eight hits and six RBI.

The Zephyrs will advance to take on Brillion on Tuesday May 28.

Tri-County will take on Weyauwega-Fremont in their next Regional match-up.

Beaver Dam 6, Columbus 1
Beaver Dam beat Columbus 6-1 in seven innings on Thursday at Columbus behind Tyler Budde, who went 3-for-3 at the plate.

Bryce Schmitt had an impressive outing against Columbus' lineup. Columbus managed just one hit off of Schmitt, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Matt Berg recorded the win for the Golden Beavers. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered six hits.

The first inning saw Columbus score its only run of the day on an RBI double by Wyatt Brockel.

Chippewa Falls 3, Eau Claire Memorial 2
The Chippewa Falls Cardinals and Eau Claire Memorial exchanged the lead five times on Thursday, but the Cardinals ended up on top with a 3-2 win in seven innings over Eau Claire Memorial.

The Cardinals took the lead in the fifth inning and held on for the victory. A fielder's choice scored Zach Slowiak and gave Chippewa Falls the lead for good.

Justin Ignarski baffled Eau Claire Memorial, striking out six batters. Ignarski allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks over seven innings.

Eau Claire Memorial 5, Chippewa Falls 2
After three lead changes in Thursday's game at Carson Park, the Old Abe's finally pulled out a 5-2 win over Chippewa Falls.

Memorial took the lead in the sixth inning and held on for the victory. A two-run error scored Drew Davis and Tyler Black and gave the Old Abe's the lead for good.

Jake Sparger got the win for Memorial. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out six, walked none and surrendered 10 hits.

Sun Prairie 7, Madison West 0
A five-run explosion in the third inning hoisted Sun Prairie to a 7-0 win over Madison West at Mansfield Stadium on Thursday.

Carter Brekke racked up three RBI on two hits for Sun Prairie. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.

Brett Yoder held Madison West scoreless for six innings. Yoder allowed four hits, five walks and struck out four.

Superior 5, Cloquet 1
The Superior Spartans and Cloquet Lumberjacks each put runners in scoring position on Thursday, but the Spartans capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-1 win at Superior.

Spencer Severson reached base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning.

Nik Mattson was in control on the hill. The Lumberjacks managed just three hits off of Mattson, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Hortonville 5, Waupun 3
Ryan Schmitt both hit and pitched well for Waupun, but it wasn't enough as the Warriors fell to Hortonville 5-3 at The Gus on Thursday.

Dan Borek recorded the win for Hortonville. He allowed three runs over six innings. Borek struck out seven, walked three and gave up five hits.

Hortonville was sparked by Connor Hafeman and Parker Thome, who teamed up for four hits and three RBI.

Monona Grove 3, Madison Edgewood 2
Madison Edgewood won the hit battle 6-3 on Thursday, but couldn't push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 3-2 in seven innings to Monona Grove at Monona Grove.

Jake Dragoo racked up two RBI on two hits for the Crusaders. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Bauer got the win for Monona Grove. He allowed two runs over seven innings. Bauer struck out six, walked one and gave up six hits.

Johnson Creek 4, Brookfield Academy 1
Brookfield Academy lost 4-1 in seven innings on Thursday to Johnson Creek.

Haruki Ume recorded the win for Johnson Creek. He allowed one run over three innings. Ume struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.

Johnson Creek closer Dylan Roe put away the final three outs to record the save.

Summer High School

New Berlin 4, Muskego 3
The Muskego Storm lost 4-3 on Tuesday after a rally turned a three-run sixth inning advantage into a New Berlin victory.

New Berlin couldn't get anything going as long as Tim Mashlan was pitching. Mashlan gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his four innings of work.
