The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as the calendar has turned over and the start of the '24 CIF High School baseball season is quickly approaching we are highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '24 athletes. The players featured are pulled directly from our '24 Class Rankings and remain as the top players left on the board going into the start of their senior season.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our PBR California staff of scouts and the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance, and Visual Edge provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on a NorCal '24 C Tyson Reis out of St. Mary's High School. Reis shows good present strength in his 6' 190 lbs. frame with good athletic ability for a backstop including a 7.25 60 yard dash with an athletic running action. Being a LH hitting backstop is always an intriguing profile, Reis flashes a good swing with strength through the zone with a pull side approach showing lift with carry. He profiles as a solid back end of the line up LH bat who can add some thump with 95.7 MPH max exit velocity while averaging 86.3 MPH on exit velocity he can rack up some doubles with ability to drive a few balls out of the park to the pull side. The arm action works behind the plate with a quick transfer/release while flashing online carry to his throws including 2.05 seconds top pop time (which plays up because of the accuracy to the 1B side of the bag). Shows feel to receive with a strong wrist and smooth actions to his hand in pitch presentation with agility in his block that will help him stick behind the plate at the next level. As a LH hitter with some pop who can profile as a solid average defender at a premium defensive position 4-year college coaches and JUCO coaches should circle his name as a follow this spring as an addition to their '24 class.
