All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on a SoCal '25 SS/2B Diego Gonzalez from El Dorado High School in Orange County. Gonzalez has a present lean wiry frame a 6' 150 lbs. but shows room to add strength to his lower 1/2 and upper body as he matures. His tool set is solid across the board where he is swing metrics jump out from the LH side with 78.7 MPH max bat speed, 24.4 MPH hand speed and 26.4 G's of rotational acceleration. The quickness to his swing and ability to sequence his body in the turn allows Gonzalez to consistently impact the baseball with a gap to gap line drive approach while showing good batted ball data with 92.5 MPH max exit velocity while averaging 86.9 MPH and a max distance of 358'. Gonzalez profiles as a high contact gaps power hitter who will collect extra base hits through the middle of the field. He plays with good rhythm in his feet showing sure hands with a clean transfer and arm strength that could project a future at SS at the next level with continued increases in his athleticism. If he has to make a move the actions, arm strength and LH bat will profile well at 2B. Overall, the collection of solid tools, LH swing, up the middle defensive profile should have Gonzalez as one that college coaches are paying attention to for the '25 class.
