Florida Insider: Uncommitted 2016 Outfielders

By Mike Maerz
Area Scout/Director of Florida Operations

This week we wanted to highlight several uncommitted 2016 outfielders that are either ranked or have stood out during our events. These outfielders will continue to look to find a home at the next level with the fall season starting to wind down and the high school season only a few months away.

Jacob Pino, American Heritage HS, FL
FL Rank: 130
Scouting Report: 5-foot-10, 197-pound outfielder with a strong, athletic compact body. Good load and separation at the plate. Good bat speed with present strength. Gets good extension through the ball with a good bat path and balanced finish. Ball jumps off his bat. Can backspin the ball. Athletic infield and outfield actions with good first step quickness. Solid-average major league arm strength. Throws have good carry from the outfield. Runs a 6.8-6.9 60 time. Could be a 2016 draft pick.
