McAvene is a 6-foot-2, 160 pound RHP from Roncalli HS.  He is an extremely projectable prospect at 6-foot-2, 160 pounds.  McAvene's arm works, running his fastball up to 85 mph this summer.  The RHP throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an easy arm action that projects to have a big velocity jump as he continues to mature.  

If McAvene can mature mentally, his tools will make him one of the elite right handed arms in the 2016 class.
